The blouse for girls was dedicated to Sofia Ionescu. During World War II, a child was brought to the hospital where she did her internship and immediately had to undergo brain surgery. All the doctors were busy treating soldiers, so Sofia decided to take on the task. The surgery was successful and Sofia became fascinated with neurosurgery. She used innovative techniques that were widely discussed abroad. In 2005, at the World Congress of Women Neurosurgeons, she was recognized as the world’s first female neurosurgeon.
