This bomber jacket was dedicated to Wanda Rutkiewicz. She was the first person in Poland to stand on Mont Everest. On the other hand, she was the first woman in the world and as the first person in Poland on K2. Mountains were her great passion, and she conquered a total of 8 of the 14 eight-thousanders, the world’s highest peaks. She described her expeditions in mountaineering magazines. She was one of the strong advocates and determined realizers of full climbing independence for women, even organizing such expeditions herself. Professionally, Wanda was an electronics engineer and graduated from the Wroclaw University of Technology. Back in her high school days, everything pointed to her becoming a great volleyball player. She even played in the women’s first volleyball league, moreover, she was a contender to play for the Polish national volleyball team, but ultimately her passion focused on the mountains.

Composition

The material is GOTS certified. The origin of the fibers according to the GOTS standard is natural, and crops are grown organically, based on relevant international guidelines. In addition – products should not contain any materials made with GMOs.
In the GOTS standard – proper water management plays an important role. Manufacturers are required to use treatment plants and a closed water cycle.
We use the highest GOTS category – Organic. This means that the material consists of, at least, 95% certified organic fibers.

The material is OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified. One of the world’s best-known certifications given to materials tested for harmful substances. The certification label is intended to highlight the quality of certain products in which no substances hazardous to health will be experienced.

If the clothes you buy from us become obsolete after some time, but are in good condition, then join our Girls of Pinto group, where you can exchange them with others or sell them. However, if the goods are no longer suitable for further use then send them back to us. We will treat it as our scraps and donate it for recycling or support shelters. Zero waste!
